Midsummer also known as the summer solstice is a lesser fire (solar) festival
This is a time that rejoices with the powers of nature still being at their peak. This marks the period of time of the longest daylight hours. This celebration offers an opportunity that while the earth, sun and natures cycles are at their continued strength to release pain, suffering, loss or troubles. It is a time of purification and reflection.
I will be celebrating on June 21st. Below is a very simple and short suggestion for a healthy activity to add to your summer solstice ceremony or an activity that the whole family can enjoy by itself.
Midsummer Aftercare Meditation:
At home, look at your existing vision board/s (or make one if you dont have one) for the part or parts of your life that you have been working on healing or unifying since Ostara (March - spring equinox).
As life continues to unfold for you from Midsummer to Lughnasadh (Autumn harvest festival) anytime any fears or upsets surface, use the Negative Thought form Detox Meditation below.
Have a pen and paper ready to do this meditation.
Negative Thought form Detox Meditation
- Say the soul mantra; I am the Soul, I am the Light Divine, I am Love, I am Will, I am Fixed Design ( or another prayer you feel connects you to your Higher Self).
- Tune into or invoke your energetic protections.
- Write down everything that is bothering you. Once you have done this, fold up the piece of paper, hold it and sense and feel all your worries, paranoia’s etc, leaving you and going into the paper.
- Safely burn the paper in heat proof dish or bowl or rip up the paper. Dispose of ashes safely (make sure no ashes are burning before putting in bin or rinse ashes down sink) or bin ripped up pieces of paper.
- Give thanks for the healing.
- Repeat this as much as you need too.
Blessings,
Chloe ✨
